We are pleased to announce that the first workshop between IUT and the HoWaMan project team was successful. The topic was “Lessons learned” and scientists from Iran (more precisely, the Center for Excellence for Risk Management and Natural Hazards of the Isfahan University of Technology) and Germany met to share their (partly recent) experiences with flood disasters.

Speakers were Reza Modarres, Hamid R. Safavi and Jahangir Abedi Koupai from the IUT, Isfahan and Daniel Bachmann, Holger Schüttrumpf and Georg Johann from the german project team.
